What Does Life Mean to You? is a collection I created out of my curiosity about how people view life and what they believe leads to a fulfilling and meaningful life. Below, you will see portraits with text underneath each image of the subjects' responses to this guiding question.

Enjoy!

"Life to me is about being present, embracing each moment as it comes, taking those risks, and making the most of the opportunities we're given. Whether it's a major milestone or a quiet win, it's all worth appreciating because they're all part of this precious journey."

"I think life is an opportunity to love and it'd be terrible to waste it."

"I think life is all about creating meaningful experiences that you will remember for the rest of your life. Heartache and enjoyment is what life is all about and we choose how we want to live it and who we want to have those experiences with. Life isn't always easy but we roll with the punches and stick with it to see the finish line."

"Life to me is the acceptance and the embracing of the ever-changing world. It means everything to me because it is the one thing I truly own."

"Life means friendship and exploring new things. It means meeting new people who inspire you to try new things and keep growing!"

" To me, life is similar to that of a rapidly growing goldfish. From a fishbowl, to a tank, to a pond, we eventually outgrow each stage until we find ourselves in the open ocean. From there, the broadness of our horizons is self determined."

"Life to me, is represented heavily in the emotions generated from the connections we make throughout our lives. Family, friends, and peers surround me in life, not only creating purpose to live, but also giving me more opportunities to experience life to the fullest. For example, in this picture, pure, ecstatic energy is beautifully captured as I jump up and down, encompassed by my family, friends, and peers, strumming with utmost joy on my guitar strings. To be surrounded by those I care about in that moment is a perfect example of what life means to me. And music, as a vessel, is a way in which I can share my creation and expression to the world."
